In recent years, leadership styles centered on followership have become popular. Servant leadership has attracted attention due to its emphasis on serving and caring for subordinates and focusing on their interests. For an organization to succeed, it is important to consider whether subordinates are influenced by the leadership style of the supervisor and exhibit behaviors that are beneficial to the organization. The study uses self-determination theory as the main framework to explore whether the satisfaction of three different basic psychological needs would mediate the relationship between servant leadership and two follower behaviors ─ feedback-seeking behavior and voice behavior. The study collected research sample data through questionnaires and successfully collected 207 supervisor-subordinate pairs. After structural equation modeling analysis, the study reaches the following three conclusions: (1) Autonomy need satisfaction fully mediates the relationship between servant leadership and voice behavior ; (2) Competence need satisfaction fully mediates the relationship between servant leadership and both feedback-seeking behavior and voice behavior ; (3) Relatedness need satisfaction fully mediates the relationship between servant leadership and both feedback-seeking behavior and voice behavior.
