The purpose of this study is to explain the relationship between corporate social responsibility and financial performance. In this study, we investigate the relation of manager’s overconfidence with corporate social responsibility. Moreover, we show whether overconfident mangers will increase the positive relationship between corporate social responsibility.
The results demonstrate that overconfident managers increase the investment of corporate social responsibility. Additionally, we found that manager’s overconfidence significantly positively moderates corporate social responsibility and financial performance.
