統計製程管制一直是工業界提升產品品質的重要工具之一,這些被提出的管制方法中,主要包含蕭華特(Shewhart)、累積和(CUSUM)、指數加權移動平均(EWMA)等管制圖,但以上這些管制圖卻只能針對製程中的單一個品質特性作個別監控,無法同時對數個品質特性作監控,然而目前的產品功能越來越多,製程的複雜度也日漸提升,而且這些製程或品質變數並不完全獨立,因此,如果把這些變數視為獨立而分別監控,會增加誤判的機率,所以探討及發展多變量管制的方法有其必要性。
目前有相當多學者利用單變量管制圖的觀念,衍生出不同的多變量管制圖,其中又以 Hotelling''s T2最常被討論,其主要是透過製程或產品特性的變數產生綜合性的統計量,再由此統計量判斷是否脫離管制範圍,藉此找出異常值,但當異常值發生時,無法藉由此綜合統計量辨識出到底是由哪些變數所造成,對使用者來說並不實用,因此在建立多變量管制圖時,應一併考量當異常值發生時,應如何診斷此異常值,如此一來,對使用者而言才能算是真正有用的偵測工具。
本研究的目的在於發展一套多變量管制圖的診斷方法;首先運用複迴歸分析的方法,藉由歷史資料建立一套能有效代表系統的模式,並利用此模式來監控往後的製程;如此,當日後所生產的產品脫離管制外時,便可很清楚的研判到底是由哪些變數所造成,也可瞭解目前製程的穩定是否有所改變。
