    力,希望能對客語保存貢獻一些心力。

This paper uses the National Hakka Population and Language Basic Data 2016 provided by Research Center for Humanities and Social Sciences. We use ordered logistic regression to find the following factors affecting Hakka students’ Hakka language ability. First, the number of
grandparents are Hakka people. Second, the accent. Third, rate of Hakka population in the place of residence. Fourth, whether the child speak Hakka language when he (she) social or study. Fifth, the frequency of communication with father in Hakka language. Sixth, the frequency of communication with mother in Hakka language.
Through this study, we try to explore which factors will affect Hakka children’s Hakka Language Ability, and we hope to contribute some of our efforts to preserve Hakka language.
