  • 工作流程管理是一個發展快速的技術,在企業界也漸漸的被應用在許多商業行為上。現今市場上許多軟體廠商開發了許多與Workflow Management技術相關的產品。這些各式各樣的產品,往往針對不同的使用者需求與應用程式而設計。在沒有標準之下,使得這些與Workflow技術相關的產品沒有辦法整合,導致自動化的流程不過是個資訊「孤島」。此外,隨著網際服務的日漸普及,如何運用這些網際服務也越顯重要。
    所以在論文中將以Workflow Management Coalition(WfMC)所訂定的標準工作流程規格為基礎,提供一個與網際服務(Web Services)整合的Workflow Management System。本論文主要的貢獻涵蓋以下幾點:(1)設計一個以WfMC 標準工作流程規格為基礎的Workflow Management系統架構;(2)實作由WfMC所定義的Interface:Process Definition Interchange 與Workflow Management Application Programming Interface;(3)與Web Services的整合。


    Work Flow Management is a fast evolving technology which is increasingly applied to businesses in the enterprises. Many software vendors have developed products which involve WFM technology today. A variety of products are designed in accordance with the particular functional capabilities of users’ needs. But, there is no standard defined to enable different WFM products to work together, which is resulting in incompatible "islands" of process automation. Meanwhile, Web Services have attracted an increasing attention in the domain of Internet applications. Many researchers have noticed its importance and started to propose different ways to utilize the notion of Web Services.
    In this thesis, we design and implement a Workflow Management System that follows the specification defined by Workflow Management Coalition(WfMC). The contributions of this thesis contain as followings: (1) We design a Workflow Management System architecture which follows the specification defined by WfMC; (2) We also implement standard interfaces defined by WfMC. They include both Process Definition Interchange and Workflow Management Application Programming Interface. (3) We extend our Workflow Management System to integrate with Web Services.
