In recent years, the rash of business scandals has highlighted the importance of responsible leadership, but little is known about the links between the responsible leadership of organizations and the productivity of their members. To explain how responsible leadership influences employee productivity, this study developed a sequential mediation model based on the organizational identification theory and from the perspective of employees’ perception of corporate social responsibility to explore the relationships between them. This study used the questionnaire survey method, gathering from the full-time employees working in Taiwan. A total of 235 valid questionnaires were collected during the survey period. The results of structural equation modeling analyses offered strong support for the proposed model. We found that responsible leadership was indirectly and positively associated with employee productivity sequentially mediated first through employees’ perception of corporate social responsibility and then organizational identification.
