Because of limitation of bandwidth, to efficiently utilize the system''s frequency resources is the key questions of wireless communication system. In the future, the communication system will support various traffic services. Each traffic service needs different levels of QoS. In addition to data transmission rate, QoS guarantee is also the main consideration of developing a MIMO-OFDM communication system. In this thesis, we introduce related schedule algorithms, and propose a MAC layer structure in a MIMO-OFDM system .It can be applied to mobile wireless metropolitan area networks. Our proposed scheme includes connection admission control mechanism and schedule algorithms. With our proposed CAC mechanism, new users are permitted to enter system if only new and old user’s QoS demands can be both satisfied. And our proposed schedule algorithm uses WRR to assign bandwidth to different schedule algorithms first. After that the MLWDF schedules real-time traffic service packets, and the PF schedules non-real-time traffic service packets.
