As robots are widespread in use, the importance of their designs is
prominently increasing in Robot-assisted learning. Formerly people applied
readymade robots to Robot-assisted learning. Because of that, it is seldom to be
discussed how the spec of appearance of a robot influences the capability of people
using Robot-assisted learning and how we design a robot to make learners reuse the
    system.
In order to achieve the objective above, in this paper, human-like robot was
    assembled by the LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT package which can be highly variable;
moreover, it could go with mixed reality stage learning in Human-Computer
interactive Lab. to make a Robot-assisted learning.
This paper did the experiment with two robots having different appearances in
mixed reality stage learning. The testees, 33 students of grade third to sixth of 大園華
鐸文理crowded school, manipulated the robots to study. The result shows that the
testees preferred human-like robot to vehicle-like and they were attracted by the robot
having its own emotion and willed to manipulate it continually.
