由獨占性產業一直到高度競爭性的產業,釵h管理者都嘗試使用差別訂價來作為提高獲利的策略之一。對於這些產業而言,運用差別訂價創造額外的獲利,顯然成為管理有限產能創造最佳效率的一種便利的管理方式。另外,對於顧客而言,當所需要的產品面臨缺貨時,往往會有需求替代行為的發生。因此,本研究基於以上兩點,嘗試使用需求替代的基本概念來用以作為差別訂價問題之訂價決策工具。故本研究是基於目前實務中廣泛出現的差別訂價現象,以及消費者在缺貨時存在有替代的行為,嘗試發展在表演性質產業具有到達率隨著時間遞減的情況下,具替代效果之座位層級的最佳聯合訂價決策模式。
由於當顧客面臨購買不到座位層級的情況時,往往會有需求替代產生的情況發生;某些顧客會考慮轉而購買同一場表演但不同座位層級的門票,而某些顧客卻會由於價格或其餘考量因素最後選擇放棄消費,這些考量因素在在的都會影響著替代的機率。不同於一般需求替代的文獻中所考量的替代機率為固定,本研究嘗試將顧客考量的因子(座位層級之價差以及品質指標)放入替代機率的計算模式當中,並加入主觀價值的概念,以期能更符合消費者考量的實際思維。
此外,由於娛樂表演性質產業多半都具有消費遞減的特性,看完表演的顧客可能會將表演內容告訴其他消費者、另外消費者的興趣也會隨著時間遞減。因此,本研究考量加入一個無耐心因子以表示顧客到達率隨著表演場次遞減的概念,使之更符合產業特性。
