This study aims to investigate the relationships among job security, organizational citizenship behavior, and job engagement. Core self-evaluation is included as a moderating variable to better understand its moderating effect on the relationship between job security and organizational citizenship behavior, and the relationship between job security and job engagement. It is found that job security is positively related to organizational citizenship behavior and job engagement. In addition, core self-evaluation has a moderating effect on the relationship between job security and organizational citizenship behavior as well as the relationship between job security and job engagement. Based on the findings, managerial implications and recommendations for future research are thus discussed.
