海德格對技術本質之思考因其在後期哲思中與其他核心思想主題之發展緊密相關並交互補充、滲透與解釋，無疑佔有一定地位。本文主要研究海德格對近現代技術本質問題之反省以及技術時代背後之溯源與境況分析。為了能達成預期的成果並集中於論題的思想主軸，筆者在本文所採行的研究進路將以主題導向為主。核心問題之討論主要由“對於技術本質之追問與分析”與“技術之後”兩個主題進行安排，依照論題之關聯與步驟則分成五章進行。本文第一部分主要研究海德格對現代技術本質的整體思考，從關於追問技術本質之預備與澄清工作出發，經由海德格思考現代技術本質的個別環節與基本概念之分析，止於海德格所提出的Ge-stell概念。第二部分旨在思考技術本質之背後基源思想與演歷發生問題。筆者首先嘗試由海德格對真理本質之思考切入討論，繼續深入分析技術本質思想之效應與技術因素之歷史。經由海德格思考技術本質之揭示活動特徵，以及對與真理問題相關的科學史發展觀念之澄清，在釐清科學與技術活動的彼此共生、逼促關係之後，進而關注於技術因素的派生變化及其效應，最後依循海德格對西方形上學發展史的根本批判與溯源，闡明技術因素在思想與實踐之中的全面影響，並試圖思考一種能夠越出技術性思維，與技術時代建立自由關係並恢復對存有之思的根本可能。
