With the increment of capabilities of robots, the applications of robots become more and more. However, users are expected to trust and like robots to increase desires for using robots, and to come to the purpose of using robots. The above purposes will come true if we can make users build a long term relationship with the robot. But we have to find out the feelings of users to let the robot express right reactions to the users, if we want to make users build a long term relationship with the robot. We find that writing diary is able to make users have more desires to express their feelings. But the problems of writing diary are writing diary is a boring work and many people don’t know how to write a diary.
In this paper we develop a system of the programmable robot which can help users to complete a diary. The system can let users interact with the robot to complete a diary by the robot guiding, and users can design the presentation of the diary which make by users. The presentation includes three parts: actions of the robot, the graphs, and the music in the background. The most important thing is that users can build a long term relationship with the robot by the interactions during the process of completing the diary.
Finally, five users join our experiment. Their average age is 22~24 years old. We find something from a little of results. By using our system, the degree of trust and likeness of the robot increases, and the degree of agreement about the suggestions which brings by the robot increases, too. It means that users build a long term relationship with the robot. Further, we find users have more desires to write a diary after using our system.
