隨著企業營運時間的增長與資訊系統涵蓋範圍的增廣,企業內部的資料量同時跟著增加,如何運用這些龐大的資料,進而從中取得重要資訊,成為現代企業重要議題之一。
而資料倉儲系統滿足了企業這項需求,資料倉儲系統幫助企業整合這些資料,使之成為對企業有用的資訊。除此之外,資料倉儲更是商業智慧與決策支援中重要的一環,以資料倉儲作為組織資料分析的基礎及管理組織知識的主要平台,即成為組織中最重要的資訊資產。
雖然,資料倉儲的運用不僅在北美地區已漸為普及,國內企業建置資料倉儲的比例也日漸增多,然而資料倉儲的建置是一項昂貴、複雜、高風險的投資,國內又缺乏相關實證議題的探討。因此本研究針對資料倉儲系統建置的相關影響因素加以探討。
影響資訊系統建置或導入的因素,過去已有許多學者以不同的觀點加以探討。本研究根據過去文獻,不僅從以往影響資訊系統導入的關鍵因素(如高階主管支持、使用者參與),也從資料倉儲系統特有的影響因素(如來源系統)加以探討,並參酌相關文獻之架構來加以探討。
相關文獻指出,採用資料倉儲系統主要為企業為資訊密集產業,如金融服務業、電信業與零售業等。本研究的研究對象設定為國內證券業者,經由電話訪問方式得知業者是否有導入或建置資料倉儲系統,在針對已有資料倉儲系統之業者進行問卷調查。
經由本研究發現,以往影響資訊系統的關鍵因素,部份仍顯著地影響著資料倉儲系統的建置,如高階主管的支持正向影響著資料倉儲在組織層級的導入成功,而專案資源與使用者參與正向影響著資料倉儲在專案層級的成功。而資料倉儲系統在組織層級的導入成功正向影響資料倉儲系統的系統品質、與資料品質;專層級的導入成功又影響資料倉儲系統的系統品質。最終,資料倉儲系統的系統品質正向影響著組織中資料提供者所感受到效益的增加。
