放眼全球,研發設計或自有品牌(Own Branding & Manufacturing;OBM)經營業者的高獲利,也是專職於專業代工(Original Equipment Manufacturer;OEM)或專業設計(Original Design Manufacturer;ODM)的台灣製造業追求的目標,因此如何在最短的時間內設計出品質、功能、價格皆能滿足市場需求的產品,成為公司獲利最大的關鍵。
早期的產品資料管理(Product Data Management;PDM)在追蹤產品設計資訊方面頗有成效。但隨著供應鏈全球化、協同合作模式的興起,產品生命週期管理(Product Lifecycle Management;PLM)便孕育而生。它不只實現了“Design Anywhere, Build Anywhere”的全球商業環境,也將設計工程文件重複應用於企業與延伸領域上,實踐了協助最佳化產品設計、縮短上市時程並簡化下游流程的理想,也為產品研發方式帶來了變革。
近年來,國內外製造大廠紛紛導入PLM系統,不僅使用率逐漸攀升,應用範圍也不斷的拓展。然而,若只是在現有的研發管理體系上進行PLM系統的建置,並不能解決企業深層的問題。往往為了避免問題的出現而設置更多無效或是降低效率的控制環節,反而損害了原有研發管理體系的效率。
整合產品開發(Integrated Product Development;IPD)是一套成熟的、領先的研發管理思想,是以產品運營為主線的流程管理架構解決方案,它被IBM、波音…等知名企業成功實施,被證明是一種高效的研發管理方法。因此,如何透過IPD核心思想來規劃完整的研發管理業務,並透過PLM系統實現高效率的運作,成為導入企業必須整合的重要課題。
本研究將針對高不銹鋼組件製造業個案,來說明企業在轉型時,於研發業務上遇到的困難與瓶頸,以及如何規劃其PLM系統;最後再針對PLM一體化IPD項目管理核心進行探討,期望能提供企業未來導入之參考。
The worldwide OBM industry's high profitability is also the goal for Taiwanese local OEM and ODM manufacturer. Hence, how to design the product within the shortest period of time which quality, functionality, and price can be all catered to the market's need becomes the major key to corporate's profitability.
Product Data Management was rather effective in tracking product designing information in early stage. However, as supply chain globalizes as well as collaborative mode rises, PLM was nurtured and arose. PLM not only fulfills the global business environment with “Design Anywhere, Build Anywhere”, also makes the reusing of documents for engineering design apply to corporate and extend area. It practices assisting product design optimization, shortening releasing schedule, and simplifying downstream process. Moreover, it brings revolution to the means of product researches and developments.
In recent years, the worldwide manufacturer has been implemented the PLM system. It not only stimulates the usage gradually, also expands the range of applications constantly. However, it cannot solve deep problems of the enterprises that implement the PLM system based on current R&D management. It damages the original efficiency of R&D management system for setting more valid and inefficient control links.
Integrated Product Development is an idea of a mature and leading R&D management which is the solution of the product operation process management. It is highly implemented by many worldwide enterprises such as IBM and Boeing so that IPD is proved to be an efficient R&D management. Hence, how to design the core idea of a complete R&D management business and practice high efficient operation through the PLM system become the major issue for the enterprises which are about to be integrated.
This research illustrates three circumstances. Firstly, what kinds of bottleneck the stainless steel manufacture may encounter when they are in the R&D process and changes their operation strategy; secondly, how to design the PLM system; finally, how to form the IPD environment based on the PLM system to discuss. The aim of this research is hope to set a role for the enterprises which are about to be implemented.
