海氣之間的交互作用,是透過熱量通量和動量通量的傳輸。因此,海氣通量的計算對海氣之間的偶合非常重要。熱量通量包含海表面的短波輻射、淨長波輻射、可感熱通量和潛熱通量。其中,可感熱通量、潛熱通量和動量通量,除了利用精密的儀器測量之外,也可以使用整體參數法(bulk aerodynamically formula)來估計。同時,海表面的熱量通量和動量通量,會對模擬海水表面溫度以及海水混合層厚度造成重要的影響。
當利用整體參數法計算海氣通量時,傳輸係數的參數法,是海氣通量計算準確的重要因子。我們使用Tropical Ocean Global Atmosphere Ocean–Atmosphere Response Experiment (TOGA COARE) IMET浮標觀測資料,引用Sui et al. (1997)改善自Liu et al. (1979;簡稱:LKB)傳輸係數的參數法 (簡稱:LKB-S97) 來估算海氣通量,並和用Fairall et al. (1996a、b) 的參數法 (Coare2.5) 比較兩者傳輸係數參數法不同所導致的差距。
進一步以計算出來的兩組海氣通量為作用力,去驅動一維的海洋混合層模式,模擬海水表面溫度及海水混合層厚度隨時間的變化情形。這裡使用的一維海洋混合層模式,為Chen et al. (1994) 依據Kraus-Turner-type (Kraus and Turner, 1967)的混合層模式改進,所得到的Hybrid海洋混合層模式。
結果顯示,使用TOGA COARE IMET浮標觀測資料引用LKB-S97估計的海氣熱量通量較Coare2.5計算的大,並且使用Coare2.5計算的海氣通量去驅動Hybrid海洋混合層模式,模擬結果較接近觀測海溫的變化,而使用LKB-S97估計的海氣通量模擬海溫則較觀測值冷。這或許是因為Coare2.5的參數法係根據LKB參數法架構與TOGA COARE實驗期間R/V Moana Wave 船上觀測的海氣通量資料做了改進,使得估計的海氣通量較接近觀測值。但是,一維的海洋混合層模式,對垂直混合過程的處理並非完善,而且沒有考慮水平流場的影響。因此,模擬結果亦可能受到混合層模式本身之缺限,以及忽略的水平流場所影響。未來將計算更可靠的海氣通量,也將進一步探討水平流場的輻合及溫度平流項,對海水表面溫度和海洋混合層厚度的影響。
