This study examines the effect of psychological capital on employees’ perception of work stress, well-being, and work engagement. It is found that employees’ psychological capital is negatively related to their perceived work stress while positively related to the well-being. Employees’ well-being is found to be positively related to their work engagement. It is also found that employees’ well-being partially mediates the relationship between psychological capital and work engagement. Managerial implications and suggestions for future research are thus discussed.
