二十一世紀是以「人才」決勝負的「服務經濟時代」,在瞬息萬變的環境下,企業致力於以最小成本產出最大效益,零售服務業面對激烈的競爭,需要可以處理廣泛且複雜問題的能力並產生高績效的員工。人格特質和情緒智力是影響一個人在職場表現的關鍵因素,因此,本研究主要目的試圖從整合學者的觀點,探討過去學者研究的結果,經由文獻分析與問卷的方式來探討員工人格特質、情緒智力與工作績效三變項之關聯性與整體模式的配適程度。
本研究以台灣地區零售業人員為對象,以回收117份有效問卷驗證本研究之假設,利用階層迴歸進行分析,以人口統計變數為控制變項,人格特質為自變項,情緒智力為干擾變項,工作績效為依變項。歸納出結論如下:
一、員工的多樣化及唯美藝術人格特質對工作績效有顯著預測效果。
二、情緒智力與人格特質的交互作用對工作績效有顯著調節效果。
三、情緒智力的社交能力構面對工作績效有顯著預測效果。
本研究採用張妙清等編著的華人個性測量表(CPAI-2)做為人格特質的衡量工具,量表包含28項人格特質,除一般世界各地普遍存在的人格特質外,尚包含部分於華人社會特別顯現的華人傳統人格特質。
