本研究針對此重要議題,將探討主管們的工作內容與特徵,更進一步分析其使用的輔助溝通工具和所需資訊來源的分布情形,期能詳盡報導並理出主管複雜的行事活動,及所使用的溝通媒體特質,以利學術界及實務界據此發展出合適的資訊科技應用方案。
由於資訊科技對管理工作的支援效益,具體實現與否,有賴於我們對於主管實際工作之了解,因此,本研究基於此一體認,以個案研究分析的方向來探討主管工作之特徵。
本研究結果發現受訪主管多以口頭性溝通媒體來傳達所需要的資訊;在媒體特質方面,受訪主管最常使用的溝通媒體具有傳達高度資訊品質的特質;且資訊科技的角色扮演有越來越重要的趨勢。
