氧分子的光譜研究早在五十年前便已開始,但是到目前為止氧分子的能階系統仍有許多不清楚之處,尤其在高能量的許多吸收能帶至今仍未有明確地確認,主要是因為強烈的雷德堡 - 共價交互作用造成雷德堡態預解離並使得吸收光譜呈現不規則與發散,我們利用同步輻射激發光源研究 105-190 nm 波段氧氣的光吸收與光分解產生 O(1D) 截面,我們將 O(1D) 產生截面與吸收截面比較成功地得到雷德堡以及共價 3Su 及 3Pu 能態的部份分量,並以此確認若干 nppu 3Su- X 3Sg- 雷德堡系列的振動能階,以及辨認一系列 npsu 3Pu X 3Sg- 雷德堡態振動能階,其結果與 England 等人的確認吻和,並且証明強烈的雷德堡 - 共價交互作用造成雷德堡 3Su-能態至共價態 B 3Su- 的預解離,在低能量部分的 Schumann-Runge continuum 與 Allison 等人以及 Balakrishnan 等人對共價態 3Su- 及 3Pu 計算的部份截面比較亦相當符合。本文將報告我們對氧分子於 105-190 nm 波長範圍單光子吸收能階系統及光解機制所做的研究。
