In this thesis, we use different transmitting sequences in MIMO-OFDM radar systems to calculate the probability of miss detection. In wireless communication, both multiple users using the same frequency at the same time and multi-path will cause interference. No matter in synchronous or asynchronous systems, the sequences with ideal auto-correlation and cross-correlation can overcome this problem. Good auto-correlation can separate different paths and good cross-correlation can separate different users. There are two parts in this thesis. In the first part, I will introduce five sequences, such as the m-sequence, gold code, walsh code, Gaussian integer sequence and Zadoff-Chu sequence. In the second part, I will simulate in MATLAB and I will use the correlation properties to explain the simulation result.
